Be My Valentine…XOXO

Another back dated post! This year, Valentine’s day fall on the 1st day of Chinese Lunar New Year. Since I am baking cupcakes for Faye, took out 2 of it and decorated it with fondant. The 2 miserable Valentine’s cuppies for the dearest hubby at home. Happy Valentine’s Day!

Colourful Flowers Cupcakes

This batch of cupcakes are ordered by my cousin for her primary students in class. All her students are rewarded with cupcakes because of getting good result in their exam. My cousin is such a nice person and by the way it is also a form of motivational to her students right?  Hope her students like this cupcakes. :)

Retro Cupcakes

Its been long ever since my last log in into this blog in Jan’10. Gosh…. can’t really find the time to manage all my blogs and workload in office has been tieing down all my time. Anyway I still managed to find some time for me to do my baking during the weekend. Here you go another batch of cupcakes I did right before CNY. Took 2 boxes of these cupcakes to the orphanage home for charity.

I was telling myself, if I have more time, I would like to do more charity for the orphanage home. The kids without the love from their parents are just so pitiful. To my both kids at home…. “AREN’T YOU THINK BOTH OF YOU ARE JUST SO LUCKY?”

Choco Bear Cupcakes

The kid’s principal called up and order a batch of choco cupcakes for her nephew and niece. That was few months back. So you can see how I neglect this blog and many more comments in my blog I have not approve. So lazy to do it.  Even baking I also did less. The kids get bored with my cakes. :(

Decorated the cupcakes with bear and make some choco flowers for decoration. Oohhh it is not that easy handling cooking chocolate. Seriously, frankly… I never like chocolate. The aroma and the smell makes me headache. Hehehe…

Diwali Cupcakes

Another set of cupcakes baked for a friend to give it to her clients for Deepavali this year. Thought of not taking the huge order but since I have the time just do it for the extra pocket money. :) But after that got complaint saying the icing is too sweet. Aiyor… icing supposed to be sweet isn’t it?  That is why doing cake business is hard. People are so health conscious nowadays. Even the cousins at home also like that. End up I got to tell them just scrap it off la. Haizzz… then what is the point decorating it? Might as well just eat plain. Hahaha … can save up a lot of my time for frosting.

Happy Boys & Girls

Oohhh.. its been long I didn’t update this quiet blog of mine. There are a lot of post back log in the folder. Have been busy with work lately and rushing for a new product launch. I am getting excited about it. Last week is jam packed with meeting, and meeting and meeting. At least this week there are some breather space for me to at least log in to check this blog. Gosh… I nearly forgotten my log in ID and password. Damn bad memory lately.

Kids are on holiday now but they still go to their daycare. Above are a batch of cupcakes I baked for them during their last day of school. They had their children day on the last day of school somewhere last month and parents are to volunteer to sponsor foods or toys for the kids. When I send them to school with a box of cupcakes, my daughter told me “Mommy why so boring. Why everyday cupcakes?”. Oh no, I think she is sick seeing my cupcakes. :)

Thomas & Friends Cupcakes

This is another version of cupcakes for my son birthday last month. This round its for his birthday party in school. The last round he wanted Spiderman and now he wanted Thomas & Friends. He really got a lot to demand for. With his birthday fall on a weekday, I totally got no time to think of how to decorate the cupcakes into Thomas and Friends design. I ended up bought some of those edible icing from the website and then paste it on the cupcakes and just do minimal frosting at the side.

His teacher called me that day and told me the kids in class are very happy and impressed to see the cupcakes though it is just a simple butter cupcakes. Hahaha…

Spiderman Cupcakes

This is a request from my dear son, Ee-Thern. Its his birthday last month and I asked him what cupcakes design he wants for his birthday. He told me he wanted a Spiderman cupcakes. Gosh… I was scratching my head, aiyor… how to do it ah? Seriously I am not that good in doing that and really can’t figure out how to frost a Spiderman. Hence…. I took the short cut. Get Dearie Suki to print out the spiderman picturesand cut it out and stick it over a toothpick and used that as the picks for the cupcakes. What a brilliant idea! Hahaha.. Check it out HERE to see how happy is my dear son during his birthday party.

Caterpillar Cupcakes

These cupcakes were baked for my cousin, nephew and niece birthday. Their birthday fall on the same month. The celebration is somewhere in August’09 and only now I have the time to upload it and blog about it. So can you imagine how busy and I nowadays.  A set of caterpillar cupcakes to make three of them a happy birthday kids one that day. I wonder whether they are amazed with the cupcakes I present it to them?

Brownies Choco Cupcakes

Baked this batch of Brownies Choco Cupcakes for my SIL’s birthday. The recipe is shared by my home economist, CK that I used to work with. The cupcakes turned out perfectly and guess what? It has a flat top! I am so happy with the outcome and this one is definitely a recipe keeper.

After frosting the cupcakes with buttercream, I packed it nicely in a cupcakes box and get the kids to send it to her on her birthday. I hope she like it. The balance of the cupcakes I piped out a simple star icing using the star nozzle and we gave that for Faye and the siblings at home.

I am not a chocolate lover actually but the kids at home is a big fan for chocolate including both my kids.
